WORLD ANIMAL DAY 4 Oct

The health and welfare of animals is inextricably tied up with our own, acknowledged in the One Health concept. We suffer many similar pathologies and we share some pathogens (see featured case). Reverse zoonoses and human activity are a threat to the shrinking natural world. Humans gain from medical research on animals, animals far less so.
